When the Pixies Left

Drinking, the escape it is, was my outlet. My hideaway. Unfortunately for the alcoholic it eventually ends in true hell. Stuffing it, releasing it and all in a very revolting and mentally disturbing way. Insane is the word I am searching for. It is easier to be insane than sane.Like Poe again I quote, ” I became insane with long intervals of horrible sanity.” Those intervals I would rather avoid with just.. another drink. When the Pixies Left written by Sally M. Peabody  www.facebook.com/sally2125/” This Pink Cloud effect can be quite deceiving and deserves a rule number. Rule # 8 Do not get over confident in your sobriety. It may seem easy at first when you actually wake up feeling good. Great even. Your cravings seem to have dissipated and life has promise. Do not become over confident or judgmental. Remain humble and ignore others actions. Stay by your Higher Power. You have not even begun the fight. Sure you got the ball rolling and have learned what being sober feels like but your tools are not sharp. Your mind is not as keen as you think it is. ” Wise words from “When the Pixies Left”
